In 1997, Alfredo Fournier & Asociados created AFAmark to fill the need for a department dedicated solely to the advancement and practice of Intellectual Property Law.

 AFAmark has since implemented new technologies in order to ensure that our firm is able to register, maintain, process, inform renew, protect, and enforce all of our clients´ intellectual property interests accurately and efficiently.  When possible, we seek to employ methods of Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) in order to avoid unnecessary litigation in trademark, copyright and patent disputes.

Additionally, AFAmark works to stay involved with all aspects of Intellectual Property issues by participating as an active member in such respected organizations as the International Trademark Association (INTA), the Inter-American Association of Industrial Property (ASIPI), the Computer Law Association and others.
