Alfredo Fournier & Asociados was established in 1962 by Alfredo Fournier-Beeche. We are a general, full-service law firm, serving corporate, institutional and individual clients. The firm has a prominent reputation in international business transactions and foreign investment in Costa Rica.  We advise our clients on how to select the best options for setting up their businesses and on how best to deal with government regulations, taxes, real estate and labor concerns, intellectual and industrial property issues, local laws, and conflicts of law between Costa Rica and other jurisdictions. The firm has a very strong litigation department.

 Our client base consists mainly of individuals, corporations, and organizations from Costa Rica, the United States, Canada, Latin America, and Europe. The firm has experience in mergers and acquisitions, privatizations and reorganizations, intellectual property, and intellectual property enforcement. All of our lawyers are authorized to practice in Costa Rica, some are also licensed in Nicaragua, and most are notary publics. All are fluent in Spanish, and most also speak either English, French or Italian.
